Are you familiar with the phenomenon that on supposedly identical injection molding machines with identical molds and processes different cycle times can be realized?
We have developed machine-independent software and a recording method to automatically determine these process differences in detail and use them to represent a theoretically best possible overall cycle. This best possible overall cycle is still significantly better than the machine with the lowest determined cycle time. We do of course also offer workshops with our application specialists, where we identify optimization potential in the current production process and define and implement measures to reduce cycle times in the best possible way. SMARTRACE
YOUR PRODUCT AS AN INFORMATION CARRIER
With DESMA SmartTrace, article-related quality and production data can be read out using QR codes. This makes it easy to trace individual items. The most important process values that were recorded during the production of the article can be displayed here and called up at any time. Machine communication must be logged and interpreted both proactively and retrospectively and, ideally, intelligently and automatically.
For safety-critical components, such as those used in the energy sector, the traceability of the manufacturing process and the detailed recording of all process-relevant parameters play a decisive role. With the help of this information, it is possible to precisely verify the quality of the entire manufacturing process at any time and for the entire service life of the product.
SMARTWALL
PLANT SAFETY AND REMOTE SERVICE
The SmartWall is a small firewall that serves to secure the information technology of the machine or system. In addition, we offer a remote maintenance option with SmartWall in conjunction with our central SmartConnect Remote Service, which is very easy to initiate.
The SmartWall is available in different versions. In the standard version, the SmartWall is equipped with Ethernet connections. The extended versions also have Wifi or 3G/LTE modules.
SMARTFACE
THE INTERFACE TO THE CUSTOMER SYSTEM
SmartFace is the individually configured interface to existing MES or ERP customer systems. In this way, SmartConnect 4.U process and machine data can be networked with personnel, quality and order data in the customer-specific MES or ERP systems.

DATAHUB
Data transfer from the machine PLC to databases & third-party systems
DataHub is a software module for recording values from the machine, which are available as global SVI variables on the PLC. DataHub is intended, for example, as a transfer layer between the machine and database for traceability applications or as an independent data logger with customer-specific data evaluations.
DataHub can be used to write data from the PLC to the customer’s existing databases. For example, into a database of a production control system.
Alternatively, the DataHub can be provided as a stand-alone application, consisting of a data hub, database and front end for an individual customer application. For example, status displays per machine for the customer’s machine park.
