Fields of activity
As a cutting machine operator, you produce dimensionally accurate parts by turning, drilling and milling. Your tasks also include setting up the machines by preparing and installing the clamping devices, as well as setting the machine values and clamping the tools and workpieces. During the machining process, you monitor the work movements and auxiliary functions, thereby ensuring optimum machining processes. In addition, you create programs for the control of milling machines. Machinists plan work processes, machine/manual production (by drilling, sawing, turning, grinding, milling, polishing, etc.) and machining of tool parts, as well as the implementation of technical documents to scale, are part of your tasks, as are the set-up and alignment of machine tools for the production of individual parts according to drawings, the handling of precise measuring instruments and the development of work programs for computer-controlled machine tools. In addition to professional skills and knowledge and excellent training, we also teach initiative and independence through joint projects for apprentices. Fun at work and a good working atmosphere are very important to us.
